Terms of use

The short version

The service is free and provided as is. A preview is an illustration, not a measurement: it helps you decide whether to buy, but it does not replace a tape measure. Upload only photos you are entitled to use.

What you get

Roomephant shows how a chosen product looks in your room, using the dimensions listed by the store and an estimate of your room's scale from the photo. Accuracy depends on the shot, the angle and whether the listing itself is correct. We do not guarantee that an item will physically fit — measure before buying, especially when the clearance is under a couple of inches. What you may upload

• photos you took yourself, or are otherwise entitled to use;
• product images from store listings, for your own purchase decision.

Do not upload other people's private photos without their consent, images of children, sexual or violent material, or anything unlawful. Uploads pass automated moderation, and a reported publication is taken down.

Rights to images

Your photos remain yours. By uploading them you allow us to process them in order to generate the preview — a technical necessity, and nothing beyond it. Product images belong to their owners: a preview grants you no rights to that material and is not an advertisement for the store.

Sharing and removal

A preview becomes public only when you create a share link yourself, and that link stops working within 30 days. To remove one sooner, or to report abuse, use the contact form and include the link. What is stored, and for how long, is described in our privacy policy.

Limits and liability

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may limit the number of previews per address, decline a request, or block access in case of abuse such as automated bulk requests. We are not responsible for purchase decisions made on the basis of a preview, nor for the content of the store sites we link to.

Changes

These terms change as the product does. A new version takes effect when published on this page; the date above shows when it last changed.
