3-seater sofa dimensions: 200–245 cm (78–96 in)
A 3-seater sofa is 200–245 cm wide (78–96 in, about 6.5–8 ft), 90–110 cm deep (35–43 in) and 80–100 cm tall (31–39 in). That is the standard living-room sofa: three adults across, one adult lying down. Between the arms it leaves 165–210 cm of seating. The ranges are what the market sells, not a standard anyone enforces.

Where 200–245 cm fits
A 3-seater wants a wall of about 240–260 cm and a room of 14 m² and up: below that the walkway in front of it disappears. The classic rule is that the sofa takes no more than two thirds of its wall, so a 220 cm sofa is happiest on a 330 cm wall. Under it the all-legs-on rug is an 8×10 (244 × 305 cm); a 6×9 catches the front legs.
Width is measured across the arms
The headline width includes both arms. Slim arms take 8–12 cm each, rolled or padded arms 20–25 cm each, so a 220 cm sofa gives anywhere from 170 to 205 cm of seat. Two makers’ “200 cm” can be three seats on one and two generous seats on the other; read the seat count in the specs.
Real examples from the try-on
IKEA UPPLAND at 224 × 92 cm (88 × 36 in) is the middle of the range and stands in a real room in this case; MORABO at 206 × 92 × 79 cm (81 × 36 × 31 in) is the slimmer end, here. Both are three seats by the maker’s count.
Before you order: see it on your own wall
