Reading the two numbers
A corner sofa listing gives two dimensions, and which is which decides whether it fits. The long side runs along your main wall; the short side, the chaise or return, comes out into the room. “Left-hand” or “right-hand” is named as you face the sofa: a left-hand corner has the return on your left. Get that wrong and the chaise blocks the door. The depth of the straight section is the usual 90–100 cm; the chaise is 140–170 cm deep and 80–100 cm wide.

The long side needs 250–320 cm of wall and the short one 160–220 cm, and the room needs to be about 18 m² and up so a walkway survives past the chaise.
