Can I see a bed in my bedroom before buying?

Yes. A bed frame is one of the easier items to preview, because a bed is a simple box on the floor and its dimensions are always on the listing.

The number that catches people out is not the mattress size, which everyone knows, but the frame around it. A 140 cm mattress in a frame with a wide surround can measure 156 cm across, and that difference decides whether you can still open the wardrobe door. Listings give the frame size; use that one.

Headboard height is the second surprise. A tall headboard changes how the whole wall reads and can cover a light switch or a radiator. A preview shows that immediately, and a product photo never does.

Photograph the bedroom from the doorway with the far wall in frame. Bedrooms are small, so it helps to stand as far back as the room allows.

Where it breaks: if the old bed is still in the room, the generator has to remove it and rebuild the floor and skirting behind it. That works often but not always. An empty spot gives a cleaner result.
