See a bookshelf in your living room

Height decides how a bookcase reads. One that stops a little short of the ceiling leaves a shelf of dead space and dust; one that reaches it looks built in. The gap you are left with is the thing to look at in the preview.

Check the skirting board too. Many tall units sit proud of the wall because the plinth catches the skirting, and that gap is visible from across the room.

How it works

1. Copy the product link from the store. 2. Paste it on the home page — name, photos and the listed dimensions load automatically. 3. Add one photo of your living room and put the frame where the bookshelf should stand. 4. About thirty seconds later you get your room back with the bookshelf in it.

Frequently asked

Will it look too tall for the room?

That is exactly what the preview answers. Ceiling height varies far more than furniture does, so an average answer is useless here.

Open shelves or closed?

Open keeps the wall visible and the room feeling larger, but shows everything on it. Closed reads as a solid block.

Should I show it empty or full?

The preview places it as the shop photographed it, usually empty or styled. Books will make it read heavier.
